H&R Springs

Nope, just roughed them up a bit

Number one all round. It is 25mm lower than standard

The B12 kit comes with springs and shocks. The springs are made by Eibach

I have fitted a B12 kit with both H&R and Eibach springs in the box

Olly was there any rubbing with #1 pads on that black C43?
I saw the pictures and the stock shox were used, these H&R's do they work well with stock shox?

Wheel gap was it still like factory space or did the car drop a bit more than stock look?
I red somewhere that dropped cars from factory doesn't gain much drop with aftermarket lowering springs?
Is this correct?

Did this car still have lower front and a higher rear with H&R springs the same as stock suspension?

Thanks

Heres what mine looked like with H&R springs i put #1 pads all round initially , but kept bottoming out on the East london speed humps, so i changed them to #3 rear and #2 front, the pic is with the updated pads.

Ride comfort was no different to the standard springs but an improved handling around corners.

Thanks for the picture.
Your C36 seemed very low on rear arches even with #2 pad front and #3 pad on rear.
Front looks ok but rear was a bit slammed for my taste, I want that a$$ to be raised a bit but tastefully.
Did you use stock shox or aftermarket?

This is mine with Bilstein shocks, H&R Springs with No3 MB pads

Justin you have the perfect stance, this is what I want, not slammed.
You have #3 pads on all 4 corners?
Car should have an even level stance with #3 pads, shouldn't it?
No rubbing with this stance?
Do you have the 25 mm lowering springs?

Can you stick your fingers into the wheelarch, to see if there's 1 finger space front and 1½ space rear?

I think i put No3 on all of them apart from the drivers front to which i put a No4, as the drivers corner always seems to look lower. Now mine is even all round on the 18" monoblocks :thumb:
You can get one finger between the wheel and arch front and rear.

thanks for the info.
drop looks gorgeus.
to me, in the picture it looks like the front is lower and rear a tad raised.

do you have less body roll when braking hard or doing a fast take off?

I agree it looks slightly higher at the rear, maybe down to the size of the rear wheels and tyres maybe? who knows

It does handle much better with less body roll, but will never handle like a track car what ever you do to it.

Hi

Agreed!! The H&R springs are only about 8-10% (if that) stiffer compared to the OEM springs, that's approx 70N/mm.

It can be made to handle at the track at track speeds but for this you need to upgrade the springs to at least 150N/mm or 856.5lb/in and that's just the beginning, shocks will have to be binned for something far meatier (preferably adjustable), OEM anti roll bar needs changing to a stiffer and adjustable bar.

As long as you don't mind a jolt or 2 up your spine, its a very good upgrade!

This image shows a 77.8N/mm 30cm free length spring VS 150N/mm track springs.

Hi Guys

Apologies! Above post not meant as a thread Hyjack.

thanks for the input guys.
as I have new unused #2 = 9mm thick pads at home, using them with H&R SPORT spring set that lowers 25 mm might or might not cause any rubbing?

Factory supplied pads on my car are #1 pads = 5mm thick , these will probably rub if I use H&R's with stock shox?
