Speaking to one of my workmates who has just returned from France. Rented a rather splendid property with his brothers and was looking forward to one of those big multi-family holidays where you take turns to look after the brats whilst the other adults can do something interesting.
But when they turned up the property was surrounded by knee-high grass, clearly not prepared and the agent who had met them there was ranting into a mobile phone.
"No problem, no problem!" she told them. "All veeel be made good! We find somewhere else!"
Well, rather a big fuss over somebody not having cut the grass etc, they thought, but at least they are making an effort.
Then a gaggle of hugely excited children come running up squealing.
Muuummmmy, Daaadddddy! Look! Look! Look!
Not every day you find a (very) dead cow in the swimming pool.
