had some fun in c36 today i met bmw m3

2007 M3, so it's E92 with 4 litre v8, outputting 400+ bhp, and 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. He would've killed C36 without even trying...

Now I know your a big BMW fan but where the hell are you getting your figures from?

A 6-speed e92 m3 does 0-60 in 4.8-4.6 for the DCT, FACT!:thumb:

a gen 2 911 turbo does 0-60 in 3.9-3.8, any m3 is not even close.

I do agree with you though regarding the OP, he would of killed the c36 easily!

lol, you know I love BMW's :D

Got my figures from Wikipedia, although I admit they might not be true for a 2007 model, because the following is for 2011 model:

0-60 3.9 sec. (2011 E90/E92 w/ M-DCT trans)

Lol, I am fan of m3's too but according to BMW them selfs and other people like top gear, fifth gear etc... they do 0-60 in 4.8 for 6-speed manual and 4.6 for the DCT..

they new m3's are not much faster than the previous e46 m3's.

I'm not sure about that, I had an M3 CSL and that was quick, then had an E91 335i that was mapped and that was quicker, would get to 60mph in 4.6 seconds everytime.
However going up against a mates stock E92 M3 and he beat me every time, so think the figure are pretty conservative.
Wasn't the C32 meant to be an official figure of 5.2 but did 4.8 every time??

If an e92 m3 does 0-60 in 3.9 that makes it just as fast as a gen 2 911 turbo and Ferrari f430?

and yet the c63 amg which does 0-60 in 4.4 beats the m3 all the time!

Yes the c32 did 0-60 in 5.2 with a passenger and luggage on board but did 0-60 in 4.6 every time.

Huh?? I never said anything about 3.9, all I said was my 335i would do it in 4.6 everytime and my mates E92 M3 would still creep away from me, so the official figure is pretty conservative, I was think it was around 4.5 not 3.9!

I guess real life figures are what matters, because they're almost always different from what's written on paper ;)
