2017 Audi RS6 Avant Performance Edition. Range Rover Supercharged - Lovely!
Browsing the internet, looking for double din hi-fi units for my Vito, I came accross this.

JVC KW-AV50E 6.1" WVGA touch panel.

Halfords. LINK.

Car Audio Centre. LINK.

How could they? :(

The unit will probably end up being sold at half that price in the Halfords sale one day, but that's still £70 more expensive and there's nothing to say the Car Audio Centre wont be selling it cheaper by that time.

I just feel for anyone who doesn't do their homework and buys one of those units. :(

I'd be surprised if there are many who would not shop around when buying something of that sort of value - even if they don't normally on lower price items.

On the other side, if you buy it without question, I would imagine that kind of money is not significant to you anyway...

As hinted at by Ringway, it could be sold at the current price so in a few weeks time Halfords can have a Massive Price Reduction!!!!!!! promotion on it.

Any sold in the meantime are just more profit.

I am looking for something like that with a built-in satnav. Any suggestions guys?

Where is member artz when you need them the most :D

Don't bother, ebay and get a nice NTG2.5, there nice units and will integrate with your cluster upgrade.
Most guys on ebay with them will go a deal.

Retailers are required by law to actually have an item for sale at the RRP for (I believe) at least two weeks before they can sell it as 'half price'. You will see this sort of thing quite often, an item they don't actually expect anyone to buy but is on display simply so that they can later sell it with a 'massive' discount of RRP, or 'was'...'now only' price.

I really wanted a unit with a removable face.

I'll have a look at the NTG2.5 though. :thumb:

NTG 2.5 is the way to go, easy enough to instal, but will need coding.
Sound is good, DVD, Nav, Phone, SD card for the MP3's and integrates so your new wheel will scroll, and in the cluster you get Road names as you drive even if the guide is not set, very handy, phone works a treat and you can answer on the wheel, and see who is calling in the cluster.
Expect to pay, 400 to 500 plus posting, but you then of load your old radio and hands free system.
