I've got the cars covered in fake spiderwebs, a few jack-o-lanterns in the driveway, the smoke machine in the entrance and some UV lights all over the house...

Oh yeah, did I mention halloween is one of my favorite events? :p

Bah humbug, or whatever the halloween equivalent is. We don't do this at all; our only involvement is to put up a small sign to tell all the scavenging kids that we don't do halloween.

We have a dark driveway leading up beside and behind another house. No one ever comes up to my daughters disappointment....

Another bl00dy American ritual brought to the UK for commercial reasons - encouraging kids to beg from door to door and celebrating the Devil.....

    Gee...time to drip a chill pill...:D

Must admit its popularity seems to have grown in the recent years.
Another way the shop keepers can create a whole theme, to remove cash from your pocket.
The religious connotations seem to have been sweep under the carpet, in the quest for profit.

Ah, the joys of an entryphone.

There are quite a number of Americans around me, and they take the trouble to shepherd their children to friends. I don't like the evening, but at least they are well-behaved and seem to enjoy themselves.

Sadly it's our own invention completely hyped up by them over the pond. We also avoid it, i'd rather celebrate the light than the dark anyway our W124 has enough natural cobwebs :)

Is it ? I can remember living in the States in the early '80s and it was all the rage - infact it made headlines when so sicko put razor blades in the candy bars. I can't remember anything like that in the UK before I went there. Nor when I came back in the mid / late 80's.
