The mention of LJKS reminds me of the GBU section at the back of Car magazine , where SAABs were summed up as 'Thoughtful cars for thoughtful people' .
I remember those as a young lad. Always liked them, I think everybody did at the time, just the mention of turbo was enough. I don't recall the gold graphics.
Of course one was featured in the Human League song "Don't You Want Me?" as along with the Rover SD1.
I loved gbu.

There were some cracking sum-ups.
The proper SAABs were much better cars than the badge engineered Vauxhalls .
...also the body flex was much better controlled than it was in any pre GM Saab.
