c1.JPGc2.JPGHello, any help would be appreciated on the problem I have with my Harman Becker Comand head unit. Apart from the MB logo showing briefly on startup the unit has never worked. On removing the unit I noticed that there wasn't a connection to the fibre optics I've circled and that an optic cable, circled in the other pic, has a different connection and doesn't fit anything. Also, there isn't anything to connect to the green terminal on the bottom right of the 1st pic. I've searched the internet and visited a local auto audio shop with no success and hope somebody can give me a clue as to what's needed. Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Hi there, normally the Fibreoption connect direct to the quadlock connection ( the plastic connector with a lever ) so you should see a connector for the Fibre optics.
The green connection that you have highlighted ( a Fakra connection ) is for the reverse camera, so a cable will be present, depending if your car has / hasn't been fitted with this option from factory.

With a better understanding of the fibre optics, I took another look at the wiring and did find a wire that at a push could fit onto the reverse camera connection but unlike the others, it wasn't colour coded. Unfortunately nothing else other than the male connector shown in my 1st post. I did have a fibre loop that fitted this but the situation remained unchanged when it was plugged in. I now suspect that an after-market unit had been fitted previously and some of the original wiring is missing which takes me back to square one. Help!!!
