Evening Ladies and Gentleman,

I've got a 2006 Pre facelift E320cdi v6 7g I bought in March and it's been a PITA rotten brake pipes, broken rear springs, faulty turbo actuator, swirl flap issues etc etc.

It's running sweet now [emoji108]

However I have a knocking on rough and uneven surfaces like country roads. Sounds like the anti roll bar, roll bar bushes are tight.

I'm planning on replacing the following I've just touched 80k

Lower Ball Joints
Strut Rod Arms
Upper Ball Joints
Drop Links
Front springs (rusty)

The bushes in the upper control arm and spring control arm look okay what is the wear like on the spring control arm inner ball joint at this mileage is it an item with lots of forces on it?

Advice needed I was going to do them with TRW MOOG or Monroe parts from Mister Auto.

Starline in Eurocarparts have 3 year warranty on strut arms for only £38 but don't trust it! Half the price of lemforder! No good if I need to replace them 5 times in 3 years although it's a simple swap.

I've Seen a MAPCO front arm kit that replaces everything for £230 including the full top arm and spring control arm and tie rods but any quality unknown, a MOOG or Febi Pro Kit is around £500-600 for the same kit and I know you get what you pay for.

On my 210 I changed the lower wishbone and drop links with the Ball Joints and it changed the car.

I don't know specifics for your car, but I don't think I'd like to chance Chinese pattern parts. At least Febi Pro, TRW or Moog are known to be decent. Lemfoerder aren't what they used to be (or at least others have said). a comprehensive refresh like you've got planned will really improve the way it drives.

I don't buy anything other than OE/OEM/Lemforder, in that order.

If you can get it to a shop, they can do a quick assessment and tell you which parts show wear or play. You can hardly do this yourself. The suspension is very very tight and you really have to load it to find where the play is.

By the way, what tires does the car have and how old are they?

Had it in 2 months ago to a specialist who said it was all fine bar a split in a ball joint cover on the strut arm.
