Hi All,

Has anyone changed bushes on the front suspension of a 211?

My E Class is in at BSG having new front radius arms fitted - on both arms both sets of bushes are visibly shot and there is wear in one of the ball joints - seems cheaper to replace the whole units rather than spend time pressing bushes in and out.

While that's being done are there any other bushes worth inspecting/changing? (that will make a difference to the way the car drives?).

BSG are suggesting having a look at the bushes on the inner end of the control arm (IIRC). Might be expensive as there are three ball joints to split to get at it apparently.

Thoughts?

I didn't need the ones on the inner arms as it turns out - so just had 2 x radius arms + 4 x bushes + 2 x balljoints.

Initial impression is that the steering is nicely firmed up but I'll have to take it for more that a two mile urban crawl to see how much better it is.
