The wheels should fit...depending on offset.

Its the tyres that with the wheels will be too big....

I had the same issue fitting GL wheels and tyres to my ML...

I have seen SL wheels on an ML just with bigger tyres on the rims so putting smaller tyres on it shouldnt be a problem but as stated above just need to check the offset

Yes you can as the PCD and bolt pattern are the same.
However, most ML standard wheels have a offset (ET) of about 60mm.
Most of the rest of the Mercedes range are in the 35 to 45 area which means that the ML wheels could collide with calipers etc. by having more 'inset'
The other thing to note is that the ML wheels are quite strong and can be quite a bit heavier than other Mercedes wheels. This can lead to poor wheel control if the overall wieght of the wheel and tyre has gone up by a big percentage.
Oh! and you will need the right size tyres to suit your car.

My ML attempt with GL alloys...

Rears were fine...fronts hit the calipers....

:)

^ the rear wheel is fitted and on in the pic

the secod picture the GL wheel is simply up against the ML wheel as It would not go on...I just wanted to see what it would look like.

No photoshop...

thanks for the help guys

I'm not to fussed about running spacers etc as I have use them on various cars over the years :)

Am I the only one thinking why ?

you should never think why, open your mind and think why not...........
