Has anyone got access to STAR Variant Coding MY2004 804?

Hi, does anyone live fairly locally to me and has access to STAR?

I need my S211 folding mirrors re-coded using STAR - Variant Coding MY2004 804 select before entering Special Equipment area to re code it.

I changed my car batteries and its now forgotten to auto fold mirrors, hence needs a re flash to work again.

Westheath also had a similar problem and got it working again through STAR. Not sure if he is a member here?

Ok i need some help if possible...... Had a hiccup with a can bus fault which is now corrected, but I lost the folding mirror on remote locking option in the convenience menu. The mirrors fold and unfold with the one touch button on the mirror adjustment switch panel. Star shows folding...

I think I might need flash using 807? Given that the vehicle year is 2007. Sorry, I don't have any experience in using STAR, nor do I have access to it.

Have you checked that mirror fold is activated in your convenience settings ? A battery change could have reset the settings.

Somebody mentioned on my settings @ convenience, there would be a sub menu for folding mirror option. I do not have this sub menu.

The sub menu for Parking drops the passenger mirror when reversing (as long as the passenger mirror is selected)

I don't have the E320 anymore but there was definately an option in the menu for auto fold on locking.

This is on a facelift model (as mine was), yours seems to be the pre facelift with the black dials, perhaps there was a diffeence in the models?

I think the sub menu for folding option may have disappeared when I changed the battery? When I scrolled through, there's no option for it.

I do have a Taxi/private passenger mode in the sub menu. Is this supposed to be there?

Maybe the instrument cluster needs to re-flashed or something? I have very little knowledge of STAR, Xentry or any of the terminology used etc.

All I know is, my auto folding mirror stop working after changing in a new battery. Im guessing something must have reset to some factory settings or something.

Have found an aftermarket solution, see link below. This will be last resort.

As Dirselbenz said above, replacing the battery will not remove menu items , why would all the other menus still be there?

I wouldn't put my faith in some universal "solution"
If it worked before it will work again as Mercedes intended. It's just a case of working out how.

Under convenience menu:
There is are two options. (1) easy function (2) mirror adjustment parking aid.

Under vehicle menu:
There is option of Taxi or Private. Can't remember whether this menu was there before battery change?
