it is very simple to opt out. My profile was blank. I always look at the options on any such software and disable any data mining or storage options. This is also why I refuse to have a Facebook account or Twitter etc. They all change the rules and terms regularly and it can be difficult to ensure your level of privacy is as you would wish it to be.
