I removed the "Special" model radio from its' slot (did not disconnect) and replaced.

This was to get access to the compartment below to locate a small
indicator unit from which the wiring was threaded to 4 new rear parking sensors I fitted into rear bumper.

Since doing this I cannot get AM reception, and some FM signals are weak.
Could I have disconnected any wiring, which may be the cause?

I cannot see any loose wires.

Would the single cable (thin 6 core) used for this job have any effect on the radio signals

Where can I find info.on MB audio wiring and aerial/antenna location ?

Could be a dodgy connection on the wiring of the aerial plug. I had this issue - looked perfectly fine, but reception was terrible, until I re-wired the plug that goes into the headunit.......problem solved.

The aerial connection to unit seems firm. The cable is rather short, which means the unit/head can only be just out of slot to connect cable.
I will do another check!

Thanks
