As you may or may not be aware my car is in for repair as I got shunted.

Note the replacement I have been given is 6 Months newer than mine (in fact it's a E200 ).

Anyway I noticed that when the lights are on I get a little green headlight indicator on the rev counter telling me. Was this something that was added at some stage? or have I just got a bulb gone? I find the lack of this indicator a pain on my car, as with auto lights I am never sure if they are on in quite light situations.

I can't remember if there is a separate "auto lights" dash lamp. Try turning the lights onto sidelights then headlights rather than auto :)

Being such a lazy so and so I like to use all the features of all things automatic...Seeing as I paid for it, I'm going to use them :D

Paul.

This Indicator lamp was added on later models to tell when lights come on automatically. The way I tell when they are on, because mine is an earlier model, is to look at the temperature indicator which goes white when on.

That explains it ! I can hardly tell on mine, think I need an after market kit of a an LED, resistor, and someone brave enough to take the dash apart (Which I am not)..

Noticed today that the little wheel on the top of dash vent has also been removed.
