Hi

I sent the following E-mail to Alloy wheels direct.net / Mercedes AMG BMW alloy wheels & tyres, UK wheel alloys today.

Hi there

I am looking to purchase a set of 19" AMG IV 2pc, below is the link to your page showing the wheels in question.

http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mercedes_alloy_wheels/e_class_saloon_w211_alloys/19_amg_iv_2pc_wheel_288

I believe these wheels are made by Ronal for Mercedes-Benz AMG.

This is my dilemma. I can buy the wheels listed below:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/19-INCH-AMG-ALLOY-WHEELS-TYRES-/120573000082?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item1c12b5f992

I have spoken to the seller and he tells me these are also made by Ronal. I have noticed that this set do not have the ''AMG'' logo on the face of the alloy. Surely this can't be the justification for the price differential?

Then you have these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-MERCEDES-19-AMG-4-STYLE-ALLOY-WHEELS-VERY-RARE-/270605226536?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3f01541228

These are just copies right????

I trust you can shed some light on this subject?

I would have called but you don't have a phone number listed (and yes I did read your faq section) I guess you don't have a number listed to save you having to answer lots of questions? Although when people are looking to spend such large sums of money on a ''luxury'' item, inevitably there will be a lot of questions. I'm sure you would have been able to deal with my query in a much shorter time on the phone than me typing this.

Many thanks in advance for your guidance.

Kind Regards

Your thoughts Gentlemen please.:dk:

Simon,

Im sure Chris (Alloywheelsdirect), will come back to you he normally replies to emails quite quickly.

The ones in your second list are not made by Ronal, when you speak to the number they insist you call before making payment they will tell you they are made by Rondell.

The seller is to be avoided at all costs, see this thread:
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/spotted-ebay/83289-warning-dodgy-ebay-seller-superjojos.html

The ones in the 3rd link are indeed replica's but probably no better or worse than the other "Rondell" ones.

Hope that helps

Just pm'd you but you have already done what I asked you to do. lol. :D

Many thanks.
