Headlamp adjustment

My headlamp adjuster on 2005 CLS doesn't appear to make any difference to the beam. Is there any maintenance that needs doing and where is it based? Thanks

Are you referring to the thumb wheel adjuster by the light switch? If so the vacuum pipe may have come adrift either behind one of the headlamps, or behind the adjuster itself. This of course all assumes you have halogen headlamps.

If you have xenons it sounds like the auto levelling has faulted. Do the lamps dip and raise at switch on?

Headlamps

Sorry for the delay in responding. They are haolgens but upon investigation the headlamp is broken inside and is pointing down to the ground. It has been repaired. Thanks for your comments.
