Headlamp comparison?

Hi folks, maybe someone can answer this - are the W203 (my Coupe) & W209 headlamps the same? I ask because I want to change my headlamp glasses but ALL the headlamp 'gaskets' I can find say they are for the W209 which certainly LOOKS like it's the same. Anyone?

The lenses are bonded on the W209 so how are you going to change them ? I did an upgrade to projector units and had to heat the whole lamp assembly to 85 degrees to soften the butyl bond.

Yes. I will be heating the whole assembly to get the bonding soft.

You don't need to replace the butyl bond. Once you have the unit apart take a flat blade screwdriver and press the butyl down into the groove in the lamp body. Some will come away on the lens, you may want to replace this before reassembly.
