Headlamp Washers

    Has anyone noticed MB appear to be doing away with headlamp washing systems on new vehicles, I wonder why ?

    LED lighting?

    Would normally find them on cars with xenon, and some posh halogen units

    "Cool" LED lights don't bake the dirt on so much.
    Only law on xenons (with some exceptions).

    LEDs can ice up though.

    EU law mandates that all vehicles equipped with HID headlamps are also equipped with headlamp washers in order to mitigate glare.

    However, given that in reality they're as much use as **** on a nun, I guess the car companies are more than happy to ditch them (and their associated part cost) if they can.
