The xenon headlights on my R129 are letting in quite a bit of moisture. Is this a common issue with them? and how should I go about fixing it?

Hi

The seal between the light and the lens can fail over time - they can be replaced for not a lot of money from MB - From memory less than £10 each - a bit fiddly to do but well worth the effort - make sure everything is bone dry before assembly - I used a hair dryer to make sure it was dry inside the light

Good luck

The Headlamps mist up on my E350 Coupe.

The Headlamps may mist up on the inside if there is high humidity. Switch on the lights and drive off. The level of moisture diminishes depending on the length of the journey and the weather conditions ( humidity and temperature ) . If the the level of moisture does not diminish, Have the headlamps checked at a qualified specialist workshop !!!

When I first had the misting on my Car the dealership quoted the above from the manual , I said I had read all that ,so now I am seeking help from a specialist workshop !!!!, The headlamps still mist up

well this happens quite a lot, but you have several seals, the one between the glass and the headlamp unit but also one ore sometimes two seals on the back wher you change the bulbs, it's really not expensive

There's a circa 7% hit rate, when cluster bombing old posts, BTW.
