Headlight Flash

Hello.
W124 Coupe

My headlight wont flash off the indicator stem.

Is this a common problem?

Can it be fixed or do I need a new stem?

Check first that your main/high beams are working OK. If not then it may be a fuse/SAM issue. If they are OK then you may be able to have a look at the stalk/switch for any obvious damage or dirty contacts.

I always check "moving parts" first. In this case that means switch, or more probably flasher relay (especially if rest of switch functions ok).

Before consigning switch to bin, do check its connectors and wires are good.
