Headlight not working, code B162E15

So, it appears that the dust cover for the drivers side dipped hid had fallen off, and i now beleive the headlight has water ingress.
The headlight no longer works on dipped or main, and i get the 'low beam bulb' warning for that light.
Ive swapped over bulbs but it still doesnt work, ive just scanned with carly and got B162E15 - 'the right low beam has a malfunction, there is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit'

I really dont know where to go from here so any help is greatly apprechiated.

Same issue for me with a B162A15 code for the left low beam.
Car will sometimes start with the left (driver side) low beam not lit, and a "left dipped beam" error.
Driving the car for a few minutes, stopping and restarting the car may make the headlight work again... until next time...
Bulbs are not the issue, I will try to remove the headlight to see if something does not look right in the connectors, etc. It seems that there are lots of small gauge wires inside the HID housing.
