headlight rear bulb cover

This morning doing a little cleaning under the bonnet of my s320 w221 I noticed the right hand headlight had no bulb cover,this must have been like it for a month now,I had a headlight bulb go in devon and went to Halfords as it was raining I got the lad to change it,he must have left it off and it has fallen out anybody know where I can get one,or is it a deep breath and the MB dealers.

You mean the cap which goes on the back of the headlamp unit? I dropped mine whilst adjusting my beams for the continent. Dropped into a main dealers on Thursday, and they found it on the engine undertray*. Would have thought yours should be on the tray too?

I will give it a look,you never know,might save the wallet ,I can just imagine how much it will cost at MB

I bought one for my 202 for just over a fiver, I think you will be surprised how cheap some MB parts can be, worth giving the dealer a call, though as above I expect it will be found on the undertray.

Part number seems to be A0008264324 although need VIN to confirm

Wow that has cheered me up,still a expensive bulb change,if it had not been raining I would have changed it myself,but sounds great I will go into Colchester MB tomorrow.
