Hi guys
I guess this been done in past but still I hop it will be some kind of reminder or a guide how to restore your discolored headlights.
Here is some pics before and after and in before picture you can see how bad it was before I did the restoration I didnt realise that was the problem of my bad visibility at night.
I thought the problem was that I had bad or week xenon bulbs.
So here how I did that
Used different grades of wet and dry sandpaper from halfords
Masking tape
600, 800,1200,1500 and 2500
meguire compound
Drill with wool pad.
1st masked the area around headlights
cleaned the headlight sprayed a water on headlight and started sanding with 600 grid sandpaper keep using a water to make it easy to sand.would say use a half of A4 size of sandpaper sheet.
2nd after 10-15 min move to 800 grid and dont forget to keep the headlight wet to make is easy then again 10-15 mi then next grid 1200 and so on untill the last one which is 2500
3rd clean the headlight and make it dry then start using the drill with wool pad with rubber compound to remove the scratches left from the last 2500 grid.
4th use the polish to make it look nice and shine with the same drill and wool pad.
Here how I did it if you know a different way how to do it or to add something to make it easier you are more then welcome to share it here.
Thanks
