Headlight Switching

I picked up a new SLK 350 from the dealers a couple of weeks ago and will be taking it to the continent sometime during the summer. When I asked about converting the headlights for driving in France they said to bring it in and they would do it.

I am told there is a switch somewhere behind the lights to enable me to do this myself.

Trouble is I have had a good look but can see nothing and really don't want to make a 30 mile round trip to the dealers to have headlights converted, especially as I am likely to be driving back home in the dark after I land back at Dover.

Anybody know where this switch is.

A google search has not helped and the handbook makes no mention of it.

Thanks

If they are bi-xenons, go take a look here

Glad it helped. Word of warning BTW - the switches are a bugger to get to and I have been told that they are a bit fragile. I always got the dealer to do it for me (never charged as it takes about 2 minutes and I asked nicely!) on the basis that if they break them I was more likely to be safe!

P.S. If you do it yourself, make sure you turn off the auto-headlight function. Lots and lots of V's and stuff that will give you an interesting hairstyle
