Hi All,
I tried to actuate my headlamp washers for the first time today but when I press the button on the dash nothing happens.
On opening the little doors at the front I can see the jets inside.
They appear totally dry.
Is there a fuse for these - that may have blown?
If so , where may I find it?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

p.s. my wife's work !

Thansk so much for responding BlackC55.
yes it was closed. i tried it at night, during the day, lights on and off, windscreen washer on and off, just about every combination. My wifes 2002 CLK (209) worked perfectly first press of the button. Mine does not make any noise or movement, no click nothing and as far as I can tell the lights rdo not dim at all when i try to actuate the washer with them on.

doesnt anyone know anything about headlamp washers (apart from they don't always work)?

Mine work fine - thanks for asking.:D
I love them, and so do other people when they see them - you should get some(working ones I mean)

Mine stopped working when the pipes froze and popped off, not sure but it maybe the pressure of the water which pushes them out -

Do they have a separate water supply

Hi Spock,
I am not sure, but I don't think so. I think they use the same water as the windscreen washers

first try the fuse most cases its that ill even put money on it

if not fill bottle to top then press button and look under car for water if there is a pipe is split or forced off

if no water then it needs a new washer motor. Quite common because when its really cold they seize

Hi I had the same thing with mine but the were just stuck give them a pull the jets that is :D and they might work ok.

Jim.

Did you ever get this fixed? Mine have stopped working too.
