Hi all having probs with headlights seems there haunted one side works one day then the other starts??????? all started when i brought the car bout a year ago there was a wire goin from one head light to the other so i removed and begain the investigation have checked all wiring looms connecting headlights all the way to fuse box! nothing changed relay today still nothing but it was a second hand one when i changed the relay the other side started working!

Its driving me nuts side lights work fine fog lights work fine back lights are fine main beam is fine its just dipped anyone got any suggestions?

thanks in advance!:thumb:

I'm sure you've checked but are the fuses OK? (W124 suffers from fuse-rot resulting in high resistance at the fuse and so low volts to the relays etc).

I will check 2moro i hate these ceramic fuses there so fiddley! I did not recieve owners manual for this car do you know which fuses leads to headlamp? thanks in advance

In the fuse box under the bonnet by the drivers side bonnet hinge. fuses 13 (left) & 14 (right) are the low beam (on mine anyway). The fuse box lid SHOULD have a fuse & relay card listing in it....).

If any of the fuses are corroded I would replace them all - they are a source of loads of gremlins - cheap at Halfords in the little plastic packets..
