headlights

I have a 2003 w211 e270 cdi with halogen headlights, I have been offered a set of facelift halogen headlights 2008 or 2009 I think, from an e class w211would anyone know if the would fit my car and be compatible with the electrics and plugs.

Even if you are able to just swap out the assemblies, you won't have any of the self-levelling sensors needed to keep them level and so you will be dazzling motorists...

Do you have self-cleaning lights now?

I'm not sure if you will fall foul of the MOT though because I think it only applies to cars with xenons from new and yours won't have.

However, it maybe they apply this to yours and when they don't self-level or self-clean, it will fail.

I'd imagine it would be cheaper and a lot less hassle to buy improved bulbs...
