Does anyone know how to remove the rear headrests on a three year old E220d saloon please?

Thanks for the advice but that seems to apply to earlier models, not the current version. I was wondering if I need to remove the rear seat backs? and if so then how? The headrests rise and fall ok but hit the roff before reaching the end of the support tubing.
