Hi All
My wife brought her car home and told me that her screen on the radio was very hot to touch and "bubbling"

I know it sounds strange but yes the bottom right hand corner of the headunit (not quite a 1/4 of the screen) has bubbled or sort of melted - it looks more like a plastic film had been left in place and was beginning to peel / lift off

The is no plastic film, obviously, and we have had car since new, MBFSH and for what its worth 31K on the clock

It appears to get very warm if A/C heat is on but the centre airvents turned off it gets worse and the screen gets very warm / hot to touch

My independant MB specialist has mentioned small fan in unit perhaps u/s but no more till he removes unit - unfortunately that has to wait until next Tuesday - he reckons unit will have to be sent away for testing?

My MB specialist has never seen or heard of this before

Anybody had this before / heard of this?

Thanks in advance
