Heated Seats, Flashing Light

When I turn on the passenger side heated seat on my 1989 500SL, the red lights on the switch flash.

The seat seems to warm up, but not as much as the drivers side.

Anyone any idea why the lights flash.

A second hand relay from ebay for £25 fixed the problem.

Only pain was that the seat has to be removed to change the relay.

the flashing usually occurs when there is not enough power. lower current, low battery

No, it was the relay to the heated seat.

The dealer wanted over £100 for the part, so I didnt bother.
But when I saw a relay being sold on ebay for about £20, I thought it was worth giving it a try.
