Hi

How difficult / costly is it to install oem seated seats into a 2004 C320 Sports Coupe.

Best regards

Tan

To install the whole seat you mean?

You're going to need the seats, wiring loom, switches and the relays.

Installation is rather easy and can probably done by yourself if you have some knowledge of cars.

Would cost you the components really although they may be expensive due to being a recent model car.

Can they be retroffitted to the existing seats?

The existing seats are leather, electric memory seats.

Im not sure on your particular seats if the elements are part of the covers or not.
Go to the dealer and ask them to check.

If not, you can just buy the heated seat elements and put them in your seats.

Would involve stripping your seats covers and then putting the elements in, and then putting the cover back on.

But yea, ask at your local dealer, they should be able to get some diagrams up for you.

If OEM is too expensive or inconvenient, you can use Waeco elements as other members have, just search the forum for it.

Heaters are part of the seat cover (leather) £330 new from MB, that's just the one seat base!

Best search the breakers. You'll need the loom and the switches too

Thats a pain in the **** then.

Is the foam attached to the seat cover as well?

If not, he can just get the waeco ones and put them in right underneath the leather.

Others have done just that..

Get the pads off ebay for £60-70

Then switch pack from dealer £150-170
Wiring loom from dealer £25

Fitting the pads is a bit of a pain but I can get it done for around £100 labour.
