hi all had my mechanic look at my heated seats as there not working he said hes tried testing them but to no avail the seats are not responding to the switches.

Can anyone shed any light on this or anyone recommend someone near me Hertfordshire to have a look at this.

Thanks

Presumably your "mechanic" did not use Star?

Sorting out electrical problems this way will be quicker, easier and cheaper in the end

Did they ever work? Could be broken wire/connector under the seat(s), could be fuse, could be a short in the heater pad.....

Could be a number of things which is why a diagnosis with STAR is recommended

Hi,
Not knowing exactly what you're mechanic has done diagnostic wise I would start from the beginning.
If the B class is like other models then there are two separate fuses
If the switches light up to indicate they are on and they both don't work the chances are it is a fuse this will be in the region of 30A rating.
If the switches do not light up then the control fuse needs to be checked though if this has blown you could find other functions of the car not operating correctly.

Thanks do you live near heartfordshire so you could look at it.
