I would prefer the powered heating element in the reserviour, it's not so cheap but very effective, available as an option on the w202 or standard if you ordered the car for certain countries.

So, do we have an idea of how many parts/costs on this as a retro fit?? :D

Nice one Mark.

All we need is a front runner to do a how to and I think this could be a MBClub mandatory mod! I would pay about £90 for that.

Is there any pics or instructions on club202?

Linky please!

No pic's and not much too go on really,This will have to be something that is started from scratch. But heres the link anyway. :) heater link

Need pics of one to see if it could be modded to fit a W124

Would you be able to fit the 202 water bottle to your car if the heater parts wont fit your existing bottle?

This sounds like a very cool mod, maybe I should try it out eh?

I just looked up some of the prices, the heater itself is about £60 so I reckon £90 is probably close to the total cost of the parts.

Hi rung dealer bits will cost about £100 all in, the first part on the 202 site is £63 plus vat. Also not all the bits are in stock :(
Ahh, so the heater is more than I thought. Just remember the golden rule: you know you're onto a good mod when the parts aren't in stock! :D

I like it too, but have talked myself out of it. I am thinking you will still need to use the anti freeze element of the screen wash so that the water in the pipes to the the nozels doesn't freeze (which is where I personally think the blockage occurs anyway) so perhaps this is not much use.

No real use + added weight = not for Graham.

My 1999 CLK Cab has the heating system installed to the washer bottle. It is extremely effective - particularly when coupled with heated spray nozzles. The wash-water always 'steams' on cool mornings - I've even used it to wash my hands.....

Thats all you need . Warm water on a cold screen . CRACK ....
