Hi Guys,

In July the heater blower wouldn't shut off, even when the ignition key was removed.

I fixed this issue by replacing the heater blower resistor and all has been well up until last Thursday. I was away from home visiting family, so have only just been able to investigate the problem.

Last time there was plenty of water and this had caused the first unit to fail, however on investigating this time everything is bone dry.

The symptoms are, the blower motor not shutting off at all, the economy button and the re-circulation button do not illuminate and I have also noticed a squeak from the lower right hand side of the engine (when viewed standing in front of the car).

The resistor I bought was not a Mercedes item, so I don't know if this has packed up prematurely, or if it's some other issue :dk:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone got any ideas?
