Hi all, hope you can help.
Got a C280 W202.
I seem to be getting hot air out of the heater at all times. Even turning the knob to the end of the blue sector doesn't seen to make much difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Dave

I've just realised, I may have posted this in the wrong section - sorry.
Also just done a search - - I know.. should have done this first.
The Duovalve looks to be suspect (split diaphragm?).
Can somebody tell me where it is (engine bay, or buried under the dash?)
Thanks
Dave

Give the two valves a tap. They are located by the brake master cyclinder

Thanks, Racall.
I'll give that a go tonight... and let you know.

If you've omly got one heater temperature control then you've only got a monovalve! Duovalves are for dual zone systems. Presumably the same principles apply but probably cheaper for monovalves!

From what I have seen on the W202, cars with the standard a/c get a dual zone system... two manual thumbwheels to control temperature in the left and right hand side of the cabin. However, cars fitted with the electronic climate control pack get a single zone system. There are one set of buttons to control the overall cabin temperature. Therefore I guess if you have a/c you get a duovalve whereas if you have climate it's a monovalve.
