I have a problem with the heating in my 98 c240 estate. when you turn on the fan blower full you can hear it speeding up but it doesn`t seem to make much difference to the air output on any of the vents which is really low.
Any help appreciated.

I have the same problem in my Sprinter. Very hot due to new thermostat being fitted but insufficient airflow.

I think the problem may be the blower motor and I think there may be a £100 bill looming... :(

The blower does sound to be running great but just no change in flow when turned up. I think i`m going to have to strip it down.

Close all vents, then try just one vent open at a time to see if one is weaker than the others. It could be that a pipe is not connected properly, hence the lack of air flow. I need to try this myself :o

Shall maybe remove the blower tomorrow and see if i can see if there is anything obvious i can see.
Other than that im stuck.

Change the dust filter next to the blower. I bet its blocked

Ahh i didnt know about any dust filter!!!! That sounds like just what the problem could be!!!!!

Fingers crossed

Dust filter well blocked up, ordered a new one, just need to sort out getting cold air now.

Just getting back with the answer to my problem, The stupid fan was running in reverse!!!!!!! All connections correct as you can only connect it one way due to the shape of the plug on the fan, i had to cut the 2 cables and reverse them. Turned it on and 5 years worth of S**t blasted into the car, But i`m happy i`ve got vents now. Thanks for all the info anyway guys.
