Hi Guys,

I've just acquired a C180, on a 96 'N' plate.

I am looking for some help and advice.

Firstly, the heaters in the outer sides (i.e. passenger & drivers side) are blowing hot. The heater in the centre console is blowing cool. Is there any common problems, or maybe some advice for things I can do or check to fix this?

Secondly, does the auto gearbox have a dipstick anywhere so I can check the oil level, as I would like to check it before I use it regularly?

Look forward to your replies

Thanks

Jon

Not sure about the heater question, but there is no dipstick that comes with the car for the gearbox.

You have to buy that seperately from a dealer if you want to check the ATF level.

I think the central vents are only supposed to blow cold air.

correct if it is set for air circulation i believe

as for dip stick if the same set up as w124 it is at the back with red knob for the gearbox oil level

Mine only blow cold air as well.

96 W202 C230K Sport..

blows only cool air through centre.

should find the dipstick to the left of the engine block right at the back before the fire wall. Should have a clip looking divice on it.

Only cool air? How strange! At least there is nothing wrong with them though :)

I'll have a look for the dipstick tomorrow then.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated!

Jon
