Heavy throttle pedal

dfggh Bought a very nice rust free W126 the other day but has a very heavy pedal. There was loads of play in the system which i have mostly removed but it needs a lead foot to move. All the ball joints are well greased. Any clues anyone before i break the back of the seat? http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=10#

It could be that the cable needs replacing as there is dirt / rust in it. You could also try removing the cable, hanging it vertically and mixing something like WD40 with some oil and let it run through. Might free up the cable.

If this is like the 'normal' MB throttle pedal, it may benefit from a drop of oil on the hinge at the bottom.
