Hello
I was hapilly changing my ATF of the '02 C270 and went on to replace the pilot bushing. No oil on the outside but when removed, it was showing signs of a leak. There was oil on the inside! Not much, but present.

What to do? Should I tear the electrohydraulic module apart and clean everything inside or what.
BTW, the gearbox was acting funny* + original oil still there with 91000 km, so I decided to change the oil.

Urgent help appreciated as the car is needed urgently.

Thanks in advance

*) Funny as in slow gearchanges, could feel 2nd or 1st going in when decellerating, threw the towel twice in kickdown (jumped to neutral)...

Make sure that when the new bushing is fitted there is no atf resedue left anywhere.

There is no need to remove the electro hydralic plate just yet. check you gearbox control unit (under passenger footwell kick panel) for atf. If none present put it all back together and don't worry!

Thanks Black55 for your quick reply
To "check you gearbox control unit (under passenger footwell kick panel) for atf" I need to remove the carpet or something?
From the outside, the pilot bushing and wiring loom going away into the car looked clean. Does this mean I am out of trouble?

Remove the carpet and the kick panel (10mm plastic nuts). On the back of the panel is the conrtol unit.
