Hi Everyone,

I'm from guildford airspace and have been with a mercedes since 2000!

O\ve had a raft of mercedes in the past and was heavily involved with the w/c/z199 platforms in the past.

I'm currently driving a 2016 w246 B-class 200d and also own a c209 clk280 sport cabriolet from 2007.
Both are nudging 50k now,

I've recently had a touch screen fitted to the B class to enable carplay, as the main dealer here in guildford was not interested in taking my money to activate it (frustrating as it was even stated as standard in the 2016 Uk brochure) , and after a week of use, I can't wait to have it removed as it's a pile of dog toffee.

My cars are looked after by the main dealer for the annual service (roadside recovery and they've always had a full main dealer service history ) and for grown up stuff they both go to PCS in Horndean.

Both have had a delicate remap, of which I hope the B-class wasn't overwritten when it went in for it's service a couple of weeks ago!

So... hi everyone!

Hello there EssEmmDee and welcome to the forum, great to have you join us.

Hi and welcome

Some belated pics!

I took the opportunity yesterday with overcast heavy cloud and a breeze to wash and wax the cars

The W246 B Class was traded in on Friday for this rather lovely s212 E350d Night Edition with lots of nice toys on it. 60k on the clock, it needs a bit of tidying such as wheel refurb and a bumper respray due to stone chips, but its something I've wanted and been looking for, for a long time now. I wanted to stay away from the 213 as costs rise sharply and I feel that the facelift 212 was the pinnacle of build quality and I've always had a soft spot for that 350d engine having had a 2012 E class coupe with that engine in,

Service history was main dealer and specialist, but I do question the final one done in June (Merc specialist Bridgend) as it seemed too cheap for a B service, and I wonder if it was just a quick inspect and fluid change as the owner was selling it.
Irrespective I've got to get it added to my mercedes online app thingy so I'll ask Guildford Mercedes about it and maybe get them or more likely PCS to give it a full once over for my peace of mind.

Thanks!

They need a refurb, but first I need the car checked over fully. After that, it's a full refurb and I think I'll get a smoked laquer on them to lose the shine a bit and blend in better with the whole black edition theme.
