Honda NSX and CL500
Hi All,

I have been a E class owner for 3 years and I'm considering moving 'up' to a CL500.

The Vin number of the car is WDD2163712A007109.

Could someone give me the lowdown on this car as the dealership seems to be having difficulty telling me what options are on this car.
I have tried the russian conection but the info returned isn't in line with what the dealer tells me.

Ask the dealership to to do an 'oasis vehicle enquiry' and print it out for you, they did for me.

Sometimes it's really hard work dealing with these Sales people. One Merc dealer has taken over 24 hours (not came back yet) with a price for my trade in. The other merc dealer that has a CL I'm interested in, took from Saturday until this evening to call me back and then they gave me a finance deal that looked like I was borrowing money from a loan shark. Sent them away to sharpen the pencil. Anyone would think it was a sellers market.

Mercedes salesmen have a seemingly unique way of making you feel as though they are doing you the favour by selling a car to you.

Quite laughable, really.
 
God MB so called salesmen really infuriate me, they are such w***ers.
 
Hi All,

After some phone negotiations, two trips to the dealership and a friend taking my E class off me, I am now the owner of a CL500. What a car. Love it to bits. MPG not quite (!) as good as E class diesel but I don't do many miles.
I now know how the PCMCIA MP3 system works. Through trial and error I learned that you can buy an adaptor from Amazon (Spartechnik) and a Compact Flash card - I tested 32Gig card - and copy MP3 files to it but there is a folder limit of 228 folders.
Hint - it can take a while to write 29G to a PCMCIA card. The car plays the music from the card. Ace. Dealer was good in the end if a bit slow to start with. The previous owner has taken good really good care of the car but the PDI did not spot that the passenger wing mirror didn't rotate on it's horrizontal axis (motor doesn't work).

You can post a couple of pics here for the time being. You need to make 30 posts in the forum before you can start your own album though. Same 30 post rule applies to PM (Private Messaging) facility.

Best option for uploading pictures is using a web photo hosting site such as photobucket. Upload to there and just post the IMG code in your thread here.
