Just bought my first mercedes CLS500, and I really am a happy chap!!
I can't fault it, the 200 mile drive home went by at the speed of a greased Gazelle.
The only thing is I can't seem to get a picture on the tv....user error me'thinks

Thanks for the "hellooo's" had a good read on here today and it seems like a great place for info and help, lots of informed people. Good move on my behalf !!!
Still can't get a channel on my tv, it says bbc1 and what have you, but no reception.
Am I thinking this is an antenna problem?
Also and I apologise for all the questions, I'd like to buy some new mats, should I go to MB or is there another place we all use..?

With regards to the TV does it have a digital tuner, could be it's looking for an analogue signal What age is the car?

Hello Mat,
It's a 2005.
My sat Nav thinks its in the North Sea but from what I've read that's a GPS antenna issue and I don't think they're related.

If it's a 2005 chances are it's an analogue TV tuner. No analogue signal anymore. I believe that you can get a digital tuner added if you need to. IF you do a search on here it's definitely been discussed before.

Hi,welcome to the forum,in case you didn't know the tv/dvd will only play while the car is stationary,i have enjoyed almost 21/2 years in my cls500-best car i've ever owned

Thanks for the welcome,
I've only had the car for a week, and I can't fault it. Owned a 4.5 V8 cayenne before that but it's not a patch on the Cls.
I was aware of the tv/DVD only showing a picture when the car is stationary, the DVD works well.
Going to get some prices on a digital tuner tomorrow. I think a trip to my £50 note tree will be in order......!

Finally got the car back, a new GPS antenna and digital tuner installed !!!
The antenna was under my warranty and the new tuner c/w freeview 450 quid ...
All in all I'm well pleased..
