quick intro after browsing for a week or two, hi I'm Mark and i'm on the look out for a new weekend car. Im a company car driver monday-friday and have had a number of weekenders over the years, most fun to me have been Toyota supra twin turbo for the poke and MX5 for the top down fun!
So, using an incredible amount of man maths I'm now looking for a SL55, hoping this will tick both these boxes for me.
Im 48, so insurance is not such an issue, but some of the costs involved with the SL's is a bit frightening but I keep telling myself we don't live forever and cant take it with you, so bugger it I'm having one.
I am an mechanical engineer by trade so will do as much myself as possible to try and keep these cost's down, hopefully, so if anyone has or know's of a good one thats for sale please leave a message and I will reply, cash is awaiting for the right car up to about £22k!

Wanted one of these for a long time since first hearing one overtake me at full warp speed when I had my window down!
Picked it up about a month ago and am loving it!

I will have it all checked over soon, but the engine sounds as good as new to me. I just intend to keep it standard (other than the wheels) and in the best condition possible, it will be nice and cosy in my garage most of the time with a weekend blast with the roof of when possible, no more than 3,000 miles a year.
