Hi all,

Just bought a 2003 CLK 55 AMG in black. Previously had 2005 SLK 55 AMG (also black) but wanted to release some cash to buy a house this year (hopefully) and other than some interior quality issues the CLK is not disappointing so far

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, here's some pics as promised

As you can see the front bumper needs a respray and fixing. I was thinking of getting the CLK63 style front bumper. Mercedes part is about £1500 I think Does anyone know where I can get one or a good replica (a lot cheaper ). Also anyone know a good bodyshop near Peterborough? Been recommended one in Grantham by a mate.

Also have a few niggles to sort out:
- New third brake light as a few of the LEDs are dead
- New glove box lid
- For some reason the headrests wont adjust on either seat
- Heated seats don't work
- Need new heater blower motor as it clicks for about 30 secs every start up
- Some of the switches like drivers door windows seem a bit worn, might get new one.

All/most of the above I believe are common issues. Certainly seem to be a lot more issues with these than my SLK but they are niggly things really.

Also need to get the auto box fluid changed as scarily there is no record of this having been done at any point (though it may have been).

Also new tyres, thinking Dunlop SportMax.

The list goes on but won't bore you with it for now

You should hear it as well then! Lol. Apparently has CLK63 exhaust, had a look underneath, not sure if the cats near the front before the Y pipe are primaries or secondaries but after that its straight piping Sounds like THOR!
