Hi all,
Just joined after searching around the internet for a Merc. forum. There certainly seems to be loads.
Most of which are in the states, so thats not a lot of good...
Recently purchased an S320 from 2001. Tanzanite Blue. 90K on the clock. In pretty good condition for age.
I've just had the B service done at a local specialist, along with a few other things. Including the Gearbox oil & filter. Came in at around £700, which seems high without being rip-off but then this is the top of Mercedes.
I got the car to do a road-trip around the Alps after finishing my H.N.C. I had basically been on an enforced savings plan by not having much social life and not being able to holiday whilst studying, I've always wanted to do the most famous Alpine passes anyway. So it seemed like a good excuse.
Then coronavirus turned up.
I gambled that the 2nd wave wouldn't be until October...bugger.
Oh well, guess that means there is more time to recruit a passenger and to get all the faults, even the minor ones, fully sorted before I go next year.
Cheers.
