    Hi folks
I signed up a while ago but never got round to saying hello.
My name is Martin, I live in S E Essex.

I come from the world of Ford and have a heavily modified Mondeo ST TDCi and a mildy modified ST220. Both are lovely cars, for a big **** family 'saloon'.

I am the proud owner of a GLA45 AMG Premium and I LOVE IT!! :)

She got the nickname ("The Kraken") because of my fondness for the KRAKEN spiced rum and the fact that she's a bit of a beast (375BHbhp, 0-60 in 4.2, 0-62 in 4.4).

I look forward to sharing tales, picking your brains, and a little bit of good natured banter.

In the mean time pleas allow me to introduce Kraken...

Very nice and good 0-60 figures for a 2lt turbo.

The back end of the GLA is aesthetically a bit of a dogs dinner but their scarcity has really rubbed off on me and in ‘45 form even scarcer - possibly a future classic?

    Welcome to the forum Martin.

I actually quite like it tbh, it's different and gives an impression of power, with those wide shoulders ;)

The Kraken was a mythical sea monster , a sort of giant squid , which would envelop ships and drag their unwary occupants down to a watery grave .
