Help : Audio 20 Upgrade Suggestion

Dear All,

I have E220 CDI SEDAN AUTOMATIC-211006 Year 2005/06 (WDB2110061A836102)

It came with a Audio 20 Player (added the picture in attachment)

Now I would like to buy A211870478901 NTG (Picture attached)

My question is If I replace the player can I be able to get all the functions of the new player?
I want to use the gps navigation and I pod & mp3 may be bluethooth phone as well.

Please suggest.

Looks like an NTG1 COMAND. It isn't plug-and-play at all. You would need an AGW and a Navi unit at the trunk in addition to the COMAND head unit (plus all the wiring). For telephone support you would need a phone control unit (antenna feeder loss compensator, antenna and contact plate etc. for an OEM setup).

The NTG2.5 COMAND would be an easier retrofit task for a car with and NTG1 Audio 20 CD head unit even if it isn't 100% plug-and-play either.

So If I buy this one how difficult it would be to install?

If it were me, I wouldn't buy that………..no idea of it's history (stolen/repaired/counterfeit) for that money. I would take punt at maybe £50-£100, the amount I would be prepared to lose if it packed up a week later or turned out to be a Chinese copy.

Have you looked at what is available new and used certified genuine from here? Mercedes Retrofit Specialist - Comand.co.uk These guys are forum sponsors and have done no end of great work and based on what you were going to pay, you may be surprised at what is available (and what other options you have). They are able to supply/fit it all as per MB spec if that's what you are after as well as aftermarket stuff.
