Hello everyone
Sorry I'm posting the same thread twice. I just realised I should have posted it here in the first place

Recently I bought a facelift cl500 w215 model and the car has done only 63k. The car has had only 2 owners, last one had it for 14 years.
I've spent 3 months now restoring the car to as new condition as possible, inside, outside and underneath. Will make a thread for the work ive done to it soon.

It had a warning light on saying lock passanger seat and I knew that it was a job I wasn't looking forward to doing so I thought I'd leave it as the last thing to do.

I fixed the seat 2 days ago and once i started the car up, ABC warning light was on :(
I had no idea about this problem when I bought the car as with the ignition on it had no faults and once starting up the car the warning light for the seat would come on and you couldn't see any other faults as it wouldn't let you.
To say I'm upset about this would be an understatement as I've spent so much money and so many hours doing this car up it's crazy and now I have to deal with this problem too!

I've plugged the car in with kts200 (bosch) and the faults that come up are

C1525 unknown fault
C1526 unknown fault

In the cluster once starting the engine up it says

ACTIVE BODY CONTROL
ABC
VISIT WORKSHOP

The warning light is in light blue. Not red
The warning light comes on as soon as I start the engine. Once I turn the engine off and turn the ignition back on, it says no malfunction, only with engine running the light comes on

I've tried to clear the fault and it doesn't let me.

There are no leaks anywhere, the suspension goes up and down as it's meant to. Even if the car is parked for 1 week it doesn't go down.
The sport button makes the suspension a bit harder and you can notice it when pressing the button so it seems like everything is working.
I've checked the linkages front and rear if they were damaged or broken, all good.
I've unplugged the wires and there is no broken wires or any dirt inside.

The fluid level was just below min and I bought some fluid from Mercedes and topped it up hoping the light would go off but after driving the car for 5 miles or so the light is still on.

Has anyone had this problem? What could it be? Anything I can check before taking the car to a Mercedes dealer or Mercedes specialist?

Sorry for the long post, I had to let it out as this car has upset me now. Always liked this cars and I thought I'd buy one but I think I will sell it once I fix this problem too and go for what I've wanted for some time now, e55 amg w211.
The car drives beautiful and plenty of power but this experience has ruined it for me :(

Any advice or info would be much appreciated!

Bery common on these. Tandem pump is gone, ecu reads low pressure and triggers warning light. You can check that via Star

Low pressure is a red light.

Blue light is a sensor issue.

You want to get it to a good indie (who knows ABC) who has star, get the codes read.

Received wisdom is now to change fluid every 2/3 years.

It could be a sensor.

When you checked level, did you also check the power steering fluid level? Same pentosin green fluid.

How did fluid look? Pale green and clear, or ‘grey’ misty?

Maybe when codes get read, do fluid change and 3 micron filter change.

Did you clean & lube the level sensors yet?

Thank you for the advice guys, the fluid looked a little bit darker than the new Bootle I got. I don't think it's ever been changed.
I will get it booked in at a Mercedes specialist. Someone I know is away on holidays so once he's back I'll take the car to him

I did clean and lube the sensors and I was really hoping it would be something simple like that but the light didn't go out.

I measured the car today and the nearside (passenger side) is 2mm to 3 mm higher than the drivers side. It's not a big difference but could it be an issue?

If you measure any car you'll find such a difference.

Still waiting for the merc specialist to come back from holidays so car hasnt moved and today I noticed the car has gone down on pasanager rear side only.
Does this mean anything?
Car hasn't moved for a week or so

That means the rear valve block isn’t doing what it should... there is someone on here who can professionally rebuild them, I forget his username but a search will find one of his threads.

Thank you! I'll do some research.
Any idea what an indy would charge to change a rear valve block?

Straight swap for a brand new one I’d say a couple of hours labour, add on an ABC fluid flush at around £150ish on top of that.
