Picked my rims up today <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Now need to get them sorted, they were exactly as described in the ad. but 3 out of 4 were nothing like as bad as I thought they would be.
If the one bad wheel was as good as the other 3 they would be going on the car this weekend !

I was looking at the place Paul found in Gillingham - seems quite reasonable - as does the other one you found in MK

V12 - I was told by the previous owner i will need longer wheelbolts as the std ones are too short  - any ideas ?

I have not used them myself, but the work I saw did look very good indeed.

Also I have seen some feed back on them by a classic car type magazine which also recommended them.

If you did go for the same day turn around you could jump on the train to Rochester (2 stops) for the day whilst they are being done. &nbsp;Lepson's is at the side of the station in Gillingham, hence the address &quot;Railway Street&quot;.

Of course if I'm around I'm happy to chauffer you about, but, I wont put on the peaked cap <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

maybee we could drive down together?

Sounds good

I'm hoping for Sat morning if possible, Although I reckon I'll have to leave them there. it would be nice if they could do them same day but I doubt it.

Yours however should be really easy!

Mark

Were are you taking them? If it's Lepsom's I wont be around on Saturday as my company has volunteered me to take part in a DRAGON BOAT race <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> .

This is Nottingham on the Trent. Never been there myself but anyone that has please tell me the Trent is not as wide as the Thames <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

I think we are going this Saturday, I still need to ring Lepsons to see if they can 'TRIPPLE POLISH' my lips.

Vin

I just phoned them and they are only open 9-12 on saturdays, the turnaround time for my wheels is 3-4 days, so I'm going to drop them off on Sat and pick them up in the week or the following Sat.
She said there wasnt too much chance of getting yours done on the same day - but there was a possibility, you would have to get there early and take pot luck.

Let me know what you want to do

Mark

Hi Mark, I forgot to mention I spoke to the woman as well, she said they would be done for next day :'(

2 trips to Kent!!!! Kent is a nightmare!!!!!!!!

25+ vat she quoted (per wheel)

If you can wait a couple of days I can pick yours up with mine, and we could meet up on the north circ somewhere.

I have my Astra estate so I will get 6 wheels with tyres in it. As I'm using company diesel and a company DART tag I dont care how many times I have to go <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Are you going down tomorrow ?

Mark

BTW - YGM

Thanks for your mail!!! Tomorrow I need to go slough as they are fitting some carpets in and some desks need de-commissioning to remove network gear - I can come after that but it will be late morning :|

They close at 12.00 !!

I'm gonna take a trip nice and early <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I dropped them off yesterday morning on my way to Hampshire to help a mate with a blown headgasket!

I chatted with him for about 1/2 hout about the finish I wanted. I had the option of replicating the original finish - but this comes completely without guarantee, as the first stone chip in the laquer would start the degredation process again, In the end I opted for a paint finish which is a lot more durable, and guaranteed for a year too.

I cant help thinking I should have stayed with the Turned &amp; Polished finish and just looked after them, but this way they are much lower maintenance!

£140+ VAT for 4 seems quite reasonable - but I dont want to be paying that every 6 months.

Mark
