Hi there,
I have recently got the front left NSF spring link replaced under wanrrenty for my E220d car.
Some time later, I noticed that there was a strange noise coming from the same front left side.
Can you please help me as to the reason for such a noise might be ?
The noise is also heard when I turn the steering wheel a little bit to the right.
I have got an appointment this monday to take the car again to MB to install another part and want them to inspect this noise.
During the last visual check, I was told that the front discs are lipped and the rear discs/ drums are lipped.
I have added a dropbox link for a video my son took for the noise.

link to video

any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the power steering fluid level?

Slight lipping on discs is not in itself a problem as long as the pads are fully contacting the disc face . You need an accurate measurement of disc thickness to determine if you need to replace them.

Usually there is a minimum thickness value stamped into the disc.

Thanks. I will check it today.
The noise is not there all the times. It is more audible when I am doing 30 to 40 and it feels like it is coming from the left side of the car.

Hissing or a slight whine? If the latter it could be a wheel bearing.

Best checked with the car safely raised and supported and then grasp the wheel at the top and bottom and then either side to check for play and also rotate it and see if there is any roughness or noise. 👍

Hi, have you solved the problem?
